Ten - Gretchen McNeil U-HUH...

I gave this one a try just cuz I wanted to have more unique reads this year... as it turns out, I don't think it's unique at all.

It felt as if I was reading a bad serial killer movie. Maybe it was just me. I wasn't really scared here. I was mostly annoyed because the characters kept on doing the "cliche" moves of victims in films. Ugh. The story was fairly good. I guess being in a place where you're all cut off from civilization certainly brings on the creeps. The ties between those ten people still surprised me. But when the main character thinks of kissing when there are people dead, it kinda sucks all the creepiness. Though I'm happy to say that I truly didn't know who the killer was until the very end, it still felt like something was missing.

I think Meg's character wasn't fully developed. I'm sure she has a lot of potential if only she didn't spend more time rehashing everything internally and protecting that ungrateful bipolar friend of hers. In my mind, I see her as a darn martyr all the way. I wish there was an epilogue wherein I would get to read about how she changed and how she came out of her shell.
