2.5 stars

First of all, I'd like to point out that I really DID like the FIRST PART of this book. I like the mixture of school drama and baseball. Even though I don't know anything about the sport, I pretty much get the picture. It's hard to be a girlfriend to the most sought-after baseball star, especially when you're as hot, outspoken and DISTRUSTFUL as Cassie. But hey, it's also hard to be a boyfriend when you're as hot, obnoxious and IMPULSIVE as Jack Carter. I love the characters surrounding them especially Gramps and Gran. Their words of wisdom with regards long distance relationship were quite good.

It all started out OKAY and FAST. Things were really getting better when suddenly, one ginormous scene ruins it all. I'm sorry, but I guess I'm just not into cheating heroes. Jack made the worse decision after his mistake. It was just plain stupid. It doesn't even add up! He always says that he's used to all the girls fawning over him blah blah blah AND THAT SCENE HAPPENED then he's all over the friggin place! What made it worse is that when it came down to it, he totally believed the bi**h! Well hello darlin! Ever heard of a doctor's appointment or even a prenatal paternity test ???s This added to the fact that he STUPIDLY MARRIED!!! that conniving sk**k. STUPID STUPID STUPID decision!!! All things go down the drain. Hell, I wasn't even A BIT surprised when he found out that his wife-for-all-seasons was not pregnant!!! Even though it ended with Cass and Jack back together again, it still felt wrong. I still felt awful after reading it.

I'm being totally honest when I say that I thought about this novel the whole time that I was at the office. I can definitely say that I pondered on things. I even went back to my bookmarked good scenes, but nothing made me change my mind.

I'm truly sorry, but I don't like what happened... :(
