This book started out with me not really liking the characters and the story. The premise of one person betting against his/her friends is like a normal thing nowadays. However, when it's both people betting against their friends, it's interesting and also annoying.
For one, I didn't like both set of friends. They were the ones who planted the idea of making people into challenges. I also didn't appreciate the start of the book because it was just full of lies and hateful lines. >.<
It got better near the end though. They were able to acknowledge each others' mistakes and move forward to the "real".
It had a pretty good ending, although it was "cut off" in my opinion.
