Nice ending. The fact that Eli became human made up for all of Clara's stupidity here in this book. Eli is still the same protective and kind devourer while Clara is a basket case because of her blood mixing with devourer's blood. The story revolved around mending that certain complication.
I would say that I enjoyed Devoured more than Consume, maybe because there's no Finn and Enoch. I just hated Finn for always making fun of Clara. Enoch on the other hand, is hot tempered one minute and then concerned the next. He's bewildering. I swear, they just both piss me off at every turn (except when Enoch saved them near the end . I wish there were lesser scenes with them.
All in all, I love the ending. I love that Eli became human and still retained his power to have reveries . Still a good read.
